Widely regarded as one of the greatest rugby players of all time, Bryan has seen how the power of sport can globally transform lives and communities. Since 2009, Habana has volunteered his time as a Laureus Academy Member, visiting many Laureus Sport for Good grassroots sports programmes worldwide. In this, he brings about positive change, all while using his platforms to share his causes with a much wider audience. Now the Chairman of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation South Africa, Habana is a passionate advocate for Laureus’ unique approach in providing athletes with the opportunity to give back. He has a unique perspective on how sport really can ‘change the world’ through grassroots programmes, as well as on the the direction of Laureus as a sporting movement, 25 years since Nelson Mandela launched ‘sport for good’ at the inaugural Laureus World Sports Awards.
